is a region full of legends and live traditions, considered the heart of the
traditional Portugal. Como with us and see the folklore costumes and the
traditional music, tasting the typical delicacies surrounded by the landscapes
dresses in gree. We start the day on the oldest and most typical Portuguese
town, in Minho region - Ponte de Lima (officialised as a town in 1125)-
and its amazing medieval town, the roman-medieval bridge that crosses the Lima
River. Then, we continue towards a magnificent 18th century's Estate, where
uou'll visit a Vinho Verde (Green Wine) producr and have a tasting of that
unique winw. The tour directs then to the capital of Alto Minho- Viana do
Castelo - the "bougeois" city from which sailors and merchants,
throughout the centuries, have sailed to the four corners of the worls. It's in
this context you will discover baroque churches, full of gilded woodcarvings
and typical Portuguese tiles (azulejos) enriching of beauty, the streets where
time has stopped. After having linch in a local restaurant, you'll be driven
across the region's panoramic up to the Shrine of Santa Luzaia then across the
Arga Moutain, ending in the estuary of the Minho River, borderline between
Portugal and Spain. Going upstream, you'll discover and advanced Fortress -
city from the 17th century - Valença do Minho- symbol of the independence of
Portugal. You will then stroll within its walls and picturesque medieval
streets where there´s a lively street traditgional market, especially with our
friendly neighbours from Galiza, Spain - "los Galegos". In the end of
such a full day, you'll return safe and comfortable, with the thought of
