Oporto is
known worldwide for its wine, its gastronomy, its bridges and both contemporary
and ancient architecture. The Historical Centre has been classified as World
Heritage by UNESCO. This classification is due to the richness of its
monuments, fabulous views of the Douro River in which the houses lean on and
give color to the city. We propose you to spend this day in our company and
discover the capital of the North of Portugal. We will visit the picturesque
historical city centre, where we highlight the São Bento train station, famous
for its centenary tiles, passing through Lello Bookshop and Porto’s Sé
Cathedral, and the inevitable Avenida dos Aliados. Lunch is included and will
be held in the typical Bairro da Ribeira wiith a magnificent view of the bridge
“Luis I” and the world famous Caves (cellars) of Port Wine in Gaia. After this,
nothing better than a boat trip on the Douro River, in typical “Rabelo” boat, a
very special overview of this noble city. In the afternoon, as it should be,
we’ll visit a Cave (cellar) of Port Wine, where you can witness in loco the
unique activity, production as well as the aging process and finally a tasting
of this unmatched character liquor, for which you will taste different
varieties. Come and see the beautiful Invicta city with Quality Tours.
